ARTISTIC DESIGNER

I’ve been in
hairdressing for twenty four years. Even before I started doing hair I
spent every weekend at my cousin’s salon since the time I was 13
sweeping hair and cleaning the salon at the end of the day. I started
cosmetology school in the 10th grade at vo-tech, finishing by January of
my senior year. I went out on co-op and was licensed by the time I was
17 years old. After three years in the business I furthered my education
and received my salon manager’s license. One of my biggest early growth
experiences was working in the big salon on the 5th floor at
the main Hess’s in Allentown. With a huge range of clientele it proved
to be very memorable. After a short time there I moved to a private
salon for quite a few years. In 1994 I came to GadZooKs.
In my twelve years
at GadZooKs I’ve learned allot about hair, allot about myself and have
formed wonderful friendships with co-workers and clients alike (you know
who you are out there).
In those years I
have come to two conclusions~ 1. My favorite thing to do is show someone
that a change in their hair, slight or drastic, can be fun & exciting
and can bring out a new happiness within them & 2. I love my job and
can’t imagine doing anything else or working anywhere else! |
