As a little girl, my mom would always take me with her to the hair
salon. Since I loved playing with my own hair and other people’s hair,
the running joke between the stylist and me was that I would take over
her salon when she retired. As I got older, I decided to follow a
different path, a college education and degree in psychology from Lehigh
University.
For the last 10 years, I worked in various office environments, most
recently in the Development Office at Cornell University’s School of
Hotel Administration in Ithaca, New York. When my husband and I moved
back to the Lehigh Valley in the summer of 2005, I decided to make a
career change – to finally do what it is that I’ve always loved – hair.
I enrolled at the Allentown School of Cosmetology (now The Vision
Academy – A Paul Mitchell Partner School) in September 2005 and
graduated in July 2006.
I
then joined Gadzooks as a Stylist Assistant to Mary Kilpatrick and Lauren
Sauers and began
my Apprenticeship with the salon. I've since become a Stylist with
the salon and enjoy the opportunity to bring exciting techniques and
ideas to the clients in my chair.
I’m very excited to be a part of the Gadzooks team – an amazing group of
people with exceptional talent.
